Hillary's Done, Endorses Obama

We knew she would officially drop out soon, but the endorsement is surprising. She's really trying to kiss up to grab that V.P. spot. There's a whole lot of Clinton supporters that refuse to back Obama so adding her to his campaign won't help much.

Hillary Rodham Clinton ended her historic campaign for the presidency on Saturday and told supporters to unite behind rival Barack Obama, closing out a race that was as grueling as it was groundbreaking.

The former first lady, who as recently as Tuesday declared herself the strongest candidate, gave Obama an unqualified endorsement and pivoted from her role as determined foe to absolute ally.

"The way to continue our fight now to accomplish the goals for which we stand is to take our energy, our passion, our strength and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama, the next president of the United States," she said in a speech before cheering supporters packed into the ornate National Building Museum, not far from the White House she longed to govern from.

"Today as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him and throw my full support behind him and I ask of you to join me in working as hard for Barack Obama as you have for me," the New York senator said in her 28-minute address.

How The Media Would Report Normandy Today

I posted this last year and thought since we are on the anniversary of D-Day, I would repost the video.

Obama Fundraiser Tony Renzko Convicted On 16 Of 24 Charges

It doesn't matter that he was convicted of  scamming people, this will be spun as another case of whitey keeping the black man down. However; it seems like more investigation will be done in regards to Renzko's business deals with Obama and their charity contributions.

U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald told reporters the verdict represented "an antidote to the poison of corruption" that testimony alleged included the fixing of state boards that controlled a $40 billion pension fund and made major decisions about hospital construction.

The nine-week trial included explosive testimony about all-night drug-fueled parties involving the government's star witness and allegations that Blagojevich personally discussed a state job for a donor.

Political corruption in Illinois has been deemed so extensive that the FBI has sent an extra official corruption squad into the state. Federal officials say the investigation is far from over.

[...]

Rezko's conviction also intensifies the spotlight on his relationship with Obama. Rezko has known Obama since he entered politics, raised money for his Illinois campaigns and was involved in a 2005 real estate deal with him. Obama has donated $150,000 in Rezko-related contributions to charity.

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is accused of no wrongdoing and his name was barely mentioned at trial, but Republicans are unlikely to let voters forget about his ties to Rezko as the presidential race heats up.

[...]

Rezko, a Chicago real estate developer and fast-food entrepreneur, was convicted of six counts of mail fraud, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of aiding and abetting bribery and two counts of money laundering.

Obama Uses Police Memorial As Porta-Potty

Quite a gang of geniuses Obama has working for him. They tell the company to drop the Porta-potties on top of a Portland police memorial for fallen officers.

Police officers in Portland, Oregon, are still waiting for an apology from Barack Obama after campaign staffers of his recent rally in Portland, Oregon, setup porta potties directly on top of the Portland Police Memorial, which honors the agency’s 25 fallen police officers.

The Obama rally drew a crowd of over 75,000 people.

Officer Thomas Brennan, who was working overtime at the rally, took a picture of the offending toilets, with the American flag still at half mast because of Police Officers Memorial Day, directly behind them. The local law enforcement memorial service had been held at the site only five days earlier.

The campaigns excuse for putting the toilets there, "the toilets were placed on the memorial for safety reasons to accommodate wheelchair access".

Who Is Barack Hussein Obama? Part I

I'm a bit disgruntled today over my fellow Americans lack of good judgement. It takes something like this to get me all riled up to do more research.

I found an interesting video portrait of Obama today. [Dial-up users beware, it's 13+ min. long]

A particular part of the video that caught my attention was the discussion of Black Liberation Theology. Obama's Pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, brought up the topic of Black Liberation Theology during an interview with Sean Hannity on Hannity & Colmes. I have never heard of this theology before, so I decided to take a look.

Black Liberation Theology can be summed up in a few words. Racist, Victimology, & Marxist.

Black Liberation Theology actually encourages a victim mentality among blacks. John McWhorters' book Losing the Race, will be helpful here. Victimology, says McWhorter, is the adoption of victimhood as the core of one's identity -- for example, like one who suffers through living in "a country and who lived in a culture controlled by rich white people." It is a subconscious, culturally inherited affirmation that life for blacks in America has been in the past and will be in the future a life of being victimized by the oppression of whites. In today's terms, it is the conviction that, 40 years after the Civil Rights Act, conditions for blacks have not substantially changed. As Wright intimates, for example, scores of black men regularly get passed over by cab drivers.

[...]

One of the pillars of Obama's home church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is "economic parity." On the website, Trinity claims that God is not pleased with "America's economic mal-distribution." Among all of controversial comments by Jeremiah Wright, the idea of massive wealth redistribution is the most alarming. The code language "economic parity" and references to "mal-distribution" is nothing more than channeling the twisted economic views of Karl Marx. Black Liberation theologians have explicitly stated a preference for Marxism as an ethical framework for the black church because Marxist thought is predicated on a system of oppressor class (whites) versus victim class (blacks).

[...]

Perhaps it is the Marxism imbedded in Obama's attendance at Trinity Church that should raise red flags. "Economic parity" and "distribution" language implies things like government-coerced wealth redistribution, perpetual minimum wage increases, government subsidized health care for all, and the like. One of the priorities listed on Obama's campaign website reads, "Obama will protect tax cuts for poor and middle class families, but he will reverse most of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers."

Black Liberation Theology, originally intended to help the black community, may have actually hurt many blacks by promoting racial tension, victimology, and Marxism which ultimately leads to more oppression. As the failed "War on Poverty" has exposed, the best way to keep the blacks perpetually enslaved to government as "daddy" is to preach victimology, Marxism, and to seduce blacks into thinking that upward mobility is someone else's responsibility in a free society.

I found the Marxism equation in the theology particularly interested since an Obama campaign office in Houston proudly displayed a Che Guevara flag

B. Hussein Obama Gets The Nomination, Hillary Open To VP Slot, *UPDATE*-Hillary Ends Campaign

Well whoopdie-freakin'-do. There's a whole lot more stupid people in America than I thought. I would really like to know the answer to one question. "Who is Barack Hussein Obama"? Does anybody really know? You hear a lot of blabber from him, but little about who he is. With Hillary Clinton, you know what you're getting. She doesn't hide it. But Obama has given no insight to himself. What we have learned is; that he attends a church that hates white people and America, his wife is ashamed to be a citizen of America, and he hasn't a clue about world history and governments. Yet, people continue to vote for him.

If someone held a gun to my head and told me I had to vote for a Democrat, the choice would be easy, Hillary Clinton. I believe she has a more realistic view of the world and that it's not all hugs and kisses. That is, of course, if I had not decided to beg the person to go ahead and shoot me.

I do have one suggestion for Hillary, if you can afford it, stay in the race. With all the questions surrounding Obama, you never know when the wheels will fall of the campaign bus. I'm still awaiting the video of Michelle Obama chastising "whitey".

As for me, I don't care about any of the three candidates. I'm still writing-in or not voting for president.

***UPDATE 11:00PM 06/04/08***

Hillary ends her campaign. She has released her delegates, but she is no longer campaigning.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is ending her historic bid to become the first female president and will back rival Barack Obama on Saturday, capping a 17-month quest that began with the words "I'm in it to win it" with a more humble plea for party unity.

Hours after Barack Obama sealed the nomination, Democrats coalesced around his candidacy, sending a strong signal to Clinton that it was time to bow out. The former first lady told House Democrats during a private conference call Wednesday that she will express support for Obama's candidacy and congratulate him for gathering the necessary delegates to be the party's nominee.

Florida & Michigan Dem Delegates Get Half-Votes At Convention

Even though it doesn't matter me, I think its wrong. They should either have kept it the way it was (no delegates), or had a re-vote. If it would've been the Republican party and the same issue came up with our worthless candidate McCain and a real conservative like Duncan Hunter, I would be screaming.

Democratic Party leaders agreed Saturday to seat Michigan and Florida delegates with half-votes at this summer's convention with a compromise that left Barack Obama on the verge of the nomination but riled Hillary Rodham Clinton backers who threatened to fight to the August convention.

The Ron Paulian Cult Begins Work On Paulville Compound

They have purchased 50 acres of land in Western Texas for Ron Paul supporters only. Apparently this "community" will be self sufficient as to "not be forced to do or pay for other people's life styles you may not agree with."

The goal of Paulville.org:

...to establish gated communities containing 100% Ron Paul supporters and or people that live by the ideals of freedom and liberty.

If you stumble over to Paulville.org, make sure you check out the forums, there's lots of interesting tidbits there.

They will be visiting the nearest Sam's Club or Costco and purchasing large amounts of Kool-Aid.

A Late Memorial Day Treat

I finally have video of the largest masted American flag in the United States. It's located at the V.F.W. here in my hometown of Norwalk, Ohio. July 4th, 2003, a severe thunderstorm came through, tore the flag, and ripped down the 150ft tower the flag was flown from. The flag was repaired by Norwalk Furniture. I don't know exactly how large the flag is, but I'm guessing its about 120' x 80'

***UPDATE 11:00PM 05/28/08***

Apparently; Google video didn't like the video I uploaded. So I had to upload it to Blogger's goofy thing.

Memorial Day - It's Not Just Another Excuse To Drink

Originally posted 5/28/07

History of Memorial Day

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, with over two dozen cities and towns laying claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day. There is also evidence that organized women's groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War: a hymn published in 1867, "Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping" by Nella L. Sweet carried the dedication "To The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead" (Source: Duke University's Historic American Sheet Music, 1850-1920). While Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966, it's difficult to prove conclusively the origins of the day. It is more likely that it had many separate beginnings; each of those towns and every planned or spontaneous gathering of people to honor the war dead in the 1860's tapped into the general human need to honor our dead, each contributed honorably to the growing movement that culminated in Gen Logan giving his official proclamation in 1868. It is not important who was the very first, what is important is that Memorial Day was established. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all.

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war). It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May (passed by Congress with the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 - 363) to ensure a three day weekend for Federal holidays), though several southern states have an additional separate day for honoring the Confederate war dead: January 19 in Texas, April 26 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; May 10 in South Carolina; and June 3 (Jefferson Davis' birthday) in Louisiana and Tennessee.

In 1915, inspired by the poem "In Flanders Fields," Moina Michael replied with her own poem:

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.

She then conceived of an idea to wear red poppies on Memorial day in honor of those who died serving the nation during war. She was the first to wear one, and sold poppies to her friends and co-workers with the money going to benefit servicemen in need. Later a Madam Guerin from France was visiting the United States and learned of this new custom started by Ms.Michael and when she returned to France, made artificial red poppies to raise money for war orphaned children and widowed women. This tradition spread to other countries. In 1921, the Franco-American Children's League sold poppies nationally to benefit war orphans of France and Belgium. The League disbanded a year later and Madam Guerin approached the VFW for help. Shortly before Memorial Day in 1922 the VFW became the first veterans' organization to nationally sell poppies. Two years later their "Buddy" Poppy program was selling artificial poppies made by disabled veterans. In 1948 the US Post Office honored Ms Michael for her role in founding the National Poppy movement by issuing a red 3 cent postage stamp with her likeness on it.

Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished over the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day. At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Most people no longer remember the proper flag etiquette for the day. While there are towns and cities that still hold Memorial Day parades, many have not held a parade in decades. Some people think the day is for honoring any and all dead, and not just those fallen in service to our country.

There are a few notable exceptions. Since the late 50's on the Thursday before Memorial Day, the 1,200 soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry place small American flags at each of the more than 260,000 gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery. They then patrol 24 hours a day during the weekend to ensure that each flag remains standing. In 1951, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of St. Louis began placing flags on the 150,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery as an annual Good Turn, a practice that continues to this day. More recently, beginning in 1998, on the Saturday before the observed day for Memorial Day, the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts place a candle at each of approximately 15,300 grave sites of soldiers buried at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park on Marye's Heights (the Luminaria Program). And in 2004, Washington D.C. held its first Memorial Day parade in over 60 years.

Being the manager of a grocery store, I have watched, for the past 3 days, people loading up on alcohol. I mean "loading up" as in cart-fulls of beer, wine, and liquor. As I see this, I wonder if any of these people know why this is a three day weekend. They seem oblivious to the fact that Memorial Day is just that, a Memorial for those who died in defense of this country. Do these people even have the wherewithal to do as little as display the flag? Do any of them plan to attend a memorial service?

Even in a time of war, these holidays are not recognized for what they truly are. It's just another excuse for them to get plastered. I bet most of them couldn't bother to watch the ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

Having been to Arlington, you cannot appreciate the magnitude of those who have sacrificed their life for us. It's just tombstone upon tombstone for as far as you can see.

Here's a small slideshow with some pics from Arlington Cemetery:

And Finally, a tribute to those who sacrificed their life for OUR country.

Link Of The Day

Republican Tea Party

Like the 1773 Boston Tea Party, the Republican Tea Party is a direct act of defiance against an unresponsive authority. The Republican Party of today
is a left leaning establishment which has lost touch with its conservative core principles of life, liberty, freedom, justice and traditional family values.

A Democrat Tells The Truth...That They Lied To Win Congress

Rep. Paul Kanjorski is shown on this YouTube video that they promised what they didn't intend to deliver in regards to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

"I'll tell you my impression. We really in this last election, when I say we...the democrats, I think pushed it as far as we can to the end of the fleet, didn't say it, but we implied it. That if we won the Congressional elections, we could stop the war. Now anybody was a good student of Government would know that wasn't true. But you know, the temptation to want to win back the Congress, we sort of stretched the facts...and people ate it up."

- Representative Paul Kanjorski on August 28, 2007

Obama's Panties Get Twisted

In a general remark from President Bush about the failures of appeasement, Obama so vainly believes Bush was talking about him. So Obama does what Obama does best, he cries about it.

President Bush's comment:

Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.

We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.

There was nothing specific about that statement. If anything, he was talking about Western European countries and liberals (such as Dhimmi Carter).

Now it's time for Obama to cry:

It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack.

George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists, and the president's extraordinary politicization of foreign policy and the politics of fear do nothing to secure the American people or our stalwart ally Israel

If you weren't paying attention when Obama said he would hold direct talks with a state-sponsor of terrorism, Iran, then you're probably a nutjob Obama supporter.

Oh, today he calls Israel a stalwart ally, yesterday he calls them a constant sore.

JG: Do you think that Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas?

BO: No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.

Hamas <3 Obama

"I hope Mr. Obama and the Democrats will change the political discourse," Ahmed Yousuf, chief Hamas political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said in an interview with myself and radio host John Batchelor broadcast on WABC in New York.

"I do believe [Obama] is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principal. And he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance," said Yousuf.

Yousuf told us that Obama has "a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with humiliation and arrogance."

Asked about Obama's repeated condemnations of Hamas, calling the Islamist group a terror organization, Yousuf replied, "I understand American politics, and this is the season for elections, and everybody tries to sound like he's a friend of the Israelis ... so whatever [the] Israelis didn't like they will take from all those candidates."
