Iran Asks For Death Wish

Iran to hit back at US ‘kidnaps’

IRAN is threatening to retaliate in Europe for what it claims is a daring undercover operation by western intelligence services to kidnap senior officers in its Revolutionary Guard.

According to Iranian sources, several officers have been abducted in the past three months and the United States has drawn up a list of other targets to be seized with the aim of destabilising Tehran’s military command.

In an article in Subhi Sadek, the Revolutionary Guard’s weekly paper, Reza Faker, a writer believed to have close links to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, warned that Iran would strike back.

“We’ve got the ability to capture a nice bunch of blue-eyed blond-haired officers and feed them to our fighting cocks,” he said. “Iran has enough people who can reach the heart of Europe and kidnap Americans and Israelis.”

I understand the seriousness of this, but there is a question to be pondered here. What on earth is a 'fighting cock' ?

Iraqis: Life Is Getting Better

TimesOnline

Most Iraqis believe life is better for them now than it was under Saddam Hussein, according to a British opinion poll published today.

The survey of more than 5,000 Iraqis found the majority optimistic despite their suffering in sectarian violence since the American-led invasion four years ago this week.

One in four Iraqis has had a family member murdered, says the poll by Opinion Research Business. In Baghdad, the capital, one in four has had a relative kidnapped and one in three said members of their family had fled abroad. But when asked whether they preferred life under Saddam, the dictator who was executed last December, or under Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister, most replied that things were better for them today.

Only 27% think there is a civil war in Iraq, compared with 61% who do not, according to the survey carried out last month.

This can't be right. Most of the MSM and Left keep telling us how bad it is over there.

Most people don't understand that almost all of Iraq is fairly stabilized. The majority of violence is in Baghdad.

Gathering Of Eagles

The Gathering of Eagles march to counter anti-war moonbats has officially started. While I would have loved to be there, my employment responsibilities have prevented it. But you can experience the Gathering of Eagles though pictures and video.

The following websites have pictures and videos of the event:

There are more sites with pics up, but I'm sure they can all be found through the various links in the three websites above.

Dirty Bombs: Chlorine Gas Attacks In Iraq Sickens 350

The Washington Times

Three suicide bombers driving chlorine-laden trucks struck in the Sunni insurgent stronghold of Anbar province, killing two policemen and forcing about 350 Iraqi civilians and six U.S. troops to seek treatment for exposure to the gas, the military said Saturday.

[...]

Just after 4 p.m. Friday, a driver detonated explosives in a pickup truck northeast of Ramadi, wounding one U.S. service member and one Iraqi civilian, the military said in a statement.

That was followed by a similar explosion about two hours later involving a dump truck south of Fallujah in Amiriyah that killed two policemen and left as many as 100 residents showing signs of chlorine exposure, with symptoms ranging from minor skin and lung irritations to vomiting, the military said.

[...]

Less than 10 miles away, another suicide bomber detonated a dump truck containing a 200-gallon chlorine tank rigged with explosives at 7:13 p.m., also south of Fallujah in the Albu Issa tribal region, the military said. U.S. forces responded to the attack and found about 250 local civilians, including seven children, suffering from symptoms related to chlorine exposure, according to the statement.

Maybe Jesse Jackson can help with the Muslim-on-Muslim crime.

FBI: Extremists Trying to Sign Up to Be School Bus Drivers

FOXNews.com

WASHINGTON —  The FBI has issued an "informational bulletin" to state and local officials saying to watch out for people tied to extremist groups trying to earn licenses to drive school buses.

The Associated Press reports that members of the unnamed extremist groups have succeeded in gaining the drivers licenses, but a Department of Homeland Security official told FOX News that "at this time there is no evidence that any of these individuals have got these jobs, or got hold of school buses."

That's the "Religion of Peace" for you. They truly are pathetic cowards. They want to target to children instead of wearing a uniform and facing men.

Iran Losing In Iraq?

Mohammed Fadhil

Iran’s “project” in Iraq has recently been facing one setback after another. There are an increasing number of signs that the “project’s” prospects for success, for realizing Iran’s ambitions in Iraq, do no point upward anymore. It simply isn’t having much success lately in undermining Iraq’s emerging democracy through politics and force.

[...]

While Iran couldn’t secure a majority support in Iraq’s political arena, it definitely secured enough clout to impede the secular democratic project. This costly -in lives and treasure - policy could, in the minds of the mullahs, force America to forsake her goals in Iraq.

That, at least, was the plan. But a number of interesting developments in Iraq in the last few weeks may mark the beginning of failure for Iran’s plan. The developments listed here were collected from both large and small stories in local Iraq newspapers. Perhaps none of them are significant alone, but putting the pieces together allows one to sense that a sea change is underway in this country and the tide is moving against Iran.

House Committee Hearings On Valerie Plame Non-Scandal

I was considering posting updates on the House committee hearings about the Valerie Plame, CIA leak non-scandal. After watching some of it, I felt physically ill at the sight of this circus. This woman is a drama queen and should be in Hollywood instead of the CIA.

I still cannot figure out how a "covert" CIA agent can be outed when she can be seen going to and from the CIA headquarters. She was also listed in a Who's Who book as the wife of Joe Wilson.

I will probably post a summary when this is all over.

Friendly fire death ruled unlawful

CNN.com

LONDON, England (CNN) -- A British coroner on Friday ruled that a U.S. "friendly fire" attack that killed a British soldier in Iraq was unlawful and criminal.

First off, it's terrible that a British soldier was killed in this accident. There's no question we appreciate their contribution to the War on Terror.

Now time for the rant. Since when was a coroner given the task of military investigator? I thought the purpose of a coroner was to find the cause of death and if it was natural, homicide, or questionable. It's apparent that this man has jumped over his job description as coroner, and into the role of international activist. This coroner obviously has no idea what his job entails, and therefore should be removed from his position.

Haditha Marine Speaks Publicly

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2007®

"Normally the Iraqis know the drill...if something happens...get down, hands up...They started to take off, so I shot at them," Wuterich says. Other Marines have told investigators that the Iraqis appeared to be following orders and were not fleeing. Pelley asks Wuterich how running away from the scene could have constituted hostile intent. He replies that he thought they may have detonated the roadside bomb. He adds, "But also at the same time, there were military-aged males that were inside that car. The only vehicle, the only thing that was out, that was Iraqi, was them. They were 100 meters away from that IED. Those are the things that went through my mind before I pulled the trigger. That was positive identification," Wuterich tells Pelley.

Another decision Wuterich made that day was to lead an attack on two houses. That attack killed three women and six children. The Marines attacked the first house with the permission of a superior officer because they thought two or three shots were fired at them from it. Wuterich says the Marines tossed a grenade into a room in the dwelling before determining who was inside. They pressed the attack with a charge through the door and gunshots to kill any survivors. According to Wuterich, this was the best way to clear a house safely, and he has no compunction about doing it. "You can't hesitate to make a decision. Hesitation equals being killed, either yourself or your men... That's what we do. That's how our training goes."

Wuterich says he saw that the attack on the first house had killed women and children. But he did not stop the assault, because he says he saw a back door open in the house and assumed the sniper had gone through it to the next house. "My responsibility as a squad leader is to make sure that none of the rest of my guys died ...and at that point we were still on the assault, so no, I don't believe [I should have stopped the attack]," he tells Pelley.

"We went through that house much the same, prepping the rooms with grenades, going in there, and eliminating the threat and engaging the targets," says Wuterich. In the second house, a man, two women and four children who ranged in age from 2 to 14, died. "Did we know that civilians were in there? No. It would have been one thing if we went in those rooms and looked at everyone and shot them," Wuterich tells Pelley. "We cleared these houses the way they were supposed to be cleared."

There's no way we can win in Iraq when we have Liberal lawyers looking over the shoulders of our military. These soldiers have to make split second decisions that determine life or death. They are fighting an enemy that is too cowardice to wear uniforms, and when you don't know for sure who the enemy is, all you have is instinct. People that know members of the military who were involved in any conflict know, war is hell. Things are going to happen, maybe the decisions are not correct, but if it comes down to you dying, or the enemy dying, it's going to be the enemy.

Lawyers and politicians should not be running a war. I'm guessing 99% of them have not been in combat, or enlisted for that matter. If you don't have the confidence in your generals, then they need to be replaced. If you do have confidence in them, let them fight the war how it needs to be fought and stay out of it. The only purpose the politicians should have in war is: 1. The authorization/ declaration of war. 2. Funding. Everything else they should leave alone and sit at their desk.

THIS IS ABOUT LIFE AND DEATH. IF IT COMES DOWN TO AN IRAQI DYING OR OUR MILITARY DYING, IT BETTER BE AN IRAQI

Bomb Believed to Be From Iran Found Baghdad

FOXNews.com

BAGHDAD —  A roadside bomb exploded Thursday in eastern Baghdad, killing four U.S. soldiers and wounding two others, the U.S. military said, and an undetonated device believed to be from Iran was found at the site.

The attack began when one bomb went off as a U.S. unit was returning from a search operation in the mostly Shiite area, the military said. Moments later, a second bomb exploded, killing and wounding the soldiers.

A demolition team that searched the site after the attack found an explosively formed projectile, a type of high-tech bomb which the U.S. military believes comes from Iran. The device was detonated by the team.

I hope someone realizes soon that Iran has declared war on the United States. They are providing training, financing, and weapons to terrorists in Iraq. Yet, the most we can come up with is "U.N. sanctions". Soon they will have a nuclear device and who's to say what they will do with that. Even though we have this real threat, Democrats want to limit President Bush's authority to do anything about it. Rolling over never helped during the Clinton Administration, I don't know why they think it will help now.

Howard Dean Admits Major Felony

Llama Butchers Via AOSHQ

The Felony

Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean has been meeting with world leaders to repair "the extraordinary damage" that the Bush administration has done to America's image and to prepare the way for a new Democratic president.

"I am trying to build relationships with other governments in preparation for a Democratic takeover," Dean told me. "I want to make clear that there is an opposition in America and that we are ready to take power and that when we do, we are going to have much better relationships with them."

The Federal Law

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

Senate Republicans Kill Troop Withdrawal Bill

Senate GOP Turns Back Iraq Pullout Plan

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats aggressively challenged President Bush's Iraq policy at both ends of the Capitol on Thursday, gaining House committee approval for a troop withdrawal deadline of Sept. 1, 2008, but suffering defeat in the Senate on a less sweeping plan to end U.S. participation in the war.

Anti-war Democrats prevailed on a near-party line vote of 36-28 in the House Appropriations Committee, brushing aside a week-old veto threat and overcoming unyielding opposition from Republicans.

My goodness! Where on earth did these Republicans FINALLY get the nerve to stand up? When they were the majority, they let the Democrats run all over them. Now they're the minority, and they want to get things done.

Obama To Edwards: "He's Kinda Cute"

2008 and counting: Using praise as a weapon on the trail

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) slipped in a compliment — of sorts — about a fellow 2008 hopeful during his appearances on the Iowa stump last weekend.

“I want to wait and hear what John Edwards has to say, he’s kind of good-looking,” Obama envisioned Iowa caucus-goers from the small town of Clinton telling themselves. During an appearance in West Burlington, Iowa, the phrase appeared again, this time with Edwards as “kind of cute.”

Well isn't that special. I'm sure a picture of them hugging and a kiss on the cheek will be soon to follow.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed Confesses to Sept. 11 Attacks

FOXNews.com

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, confessed to that attack and a string of others during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the Pentagon.

Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed

"I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z," Mohammed said during the session, which was held last Saturday.

Mohammed claimed responsibility for planning, financing, and training others for bombings ranging from the 1993 attack at the World Trade Center to the attempt by would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid to blow up a Trans-Atlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes.

Click Here to Read the Transcript (PDF)

Mohammed also admitted to planning assassination attempts on former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, as well as Pope John Paul II.

In all, Mohammed said he was responsible for planning 28 individual attacks, including many that were never executed. The comments were included in a 26-page transcript released by the Pentagon, which blacked out some of his remarks.

It was no surprise he planned the 9/11 attacks, but it's interesting to know the extent of his terrorism planning. It's doubtful that any information he had given will be of any use today. I'm sure the Al-Qaeda organization has underwent several changes since the invasion of Afghanistan.

Mexican President Condemns Border Fence

The Washington Times

TEMOZON SUR, Mexico - Mexican President Felipe Calderon yesterday criticized the 850 miles of border fence that President Bush and Congress approved last year, saying there are better ways to stop illegal immigration.

"We do consider in a respectful way that we may truly stop the migration by building a kilometer of highway in Michoacan or Zacatecas than 10 kilometers of walls in the border," Mr. Calderon said during a welcome ceremony here, according to the official translation.

Mr. Calderon, who was sworn in as president in December, said it is time for Mr. Bush to re-establish the working relationship he had promised in early 2001, before the September 11 terrorist attacks reordered Washington's priorities.

"In a very understandable way, the priorities changed," Mr. Calderon said. "Nevertheless, I believe that it is now time to retake the spirit of those words and to direct our relationship toward a path of mutual prosperity."

Mr. Bush said the United States will enforce its immigration laws but reassured Mr. Calderon that Mexico and the U.S. are bound together including through U.S. companies that rely on Mexican labor, and Mexican families and the government that rely on the $20 billion in remittances sent home by those workers, many of them illegal aliens.

I fail to understand why other countries think they have a say in our national security. Thousands of American citizens are killed each year by illegals. This includes murder and deaths by drunk driving. Thousands of children become the victims of sex crimes by illegals every year. Thousands of dollars in illegal drugs are being smuggled into the country by illegals. This is not just a job/money issue.

We talk about the War on Terror, since Sept. 11, 2001, 45,625 Americans have been killed by illegal aliens and 14,600 American Children have been victims of sex crimes.
