My radio alarm clock woke me this afternoon with the horrifying news that an “Air Stagnation Warning” would be in effect for the Greater Seattle Area throughout the entire holiday weekend.

Good Goddess! What terrible new ecological nightmare has Bush sprung on us now? Arsenic in the drinking water, global warming, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and now “Air Stagnation?”

I certainly wasn’t going to take any chances with my health. Regretfully, I’d have to cancel my trip to my grandmother’s this Thanksgiving.

So good ol' Cindy Sheehan is going to chain herself to the fence in front of the White House until all the troops come home. The woman is absolutely brilliant. In fact, one would hope that a significant portion of that chain is around the head and neck area. When will the time come that she learns that she is insignificant? No one, except the liberal media is paying attention to her anymore. Her novelty has worn off. After it was clear that she was fighting not for her son, but for publicity, she became a circus monkey. On top of that, she committed a cardinal sin. She publicly criticized a Clinton, Hillary Clinton. Hell hath no fury like Hillary scorned. I anticipate Cindy will be silenced in the near future because of it.

Al Franken

Ah, one of the voices of Air America. Yes, the broke, incompetent, barely measureable listenership radio broadcast network. I don't know how the United States made it without this pathetic attempt of spreading liberal hate. Al has a new book out now so he's making his TV talk show rounds. He feels that saying things like, “And so basically, what it looks like is going to happen is that Libby and Karl Rove are going to be executed." and then refers to executing the President because Rove is his advisor is appropriate. He believes in his little mind that the whole Valerie Plame thing is treason. How do you "out" a "covert" CIA operative when they can be seen coming and going from CIA headquarters? She was even listed in a Who's Who book as the wife of Joe Wilson.

Dean was recently quoted as calling Republicans "ayatollah's". This is along with all the other stupid things he says on a regular basis.

It's a form of mental illness, Rush, and it's expressed through their moral immaturity, their deceit and actually it's a type of rebellion against God and virtue through the justification of things like immorality, things like abortion, homosexuality, promiscuity, prostitution, racism, even race-centered thinking, and, you know, the suppression --

RUSH: I tell you what. Hey, Eric? You're on a roll here and I hate to stop you.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: Back now to Eric in Charlotte, North Carolina. You were on a roll. Let me set it up for people just joining us. You think liberalism -- and you're an African-American, right?

CALLER: I'm a black American. African-American is a misnomer no more than just calling white folks European Americans. If you're an American, you're an American. I'm just darker skinned, Rush.

RUSH: Amen. All right, folks. So liberalism is a mental illness. It's born of people that do not like any judgmentallism against their depravity--

CALLER: Exactly. Well, Rush, that's exactly the reason why they're coming against you there on CBS the way they do. Because you take a verbal stance for morality and virtue and so on, they have to make you look evil. It's a form of mental illness. It's spontaneous. It's triggered. These people are normal in every way when you talk to them, but when you get on their little lightning button, I'll just call it, that's when they actually take on a form of incognition. They become crazy. It's a form of mental illness but it's just spontaneous, short-lived and triggered and then they're back to normal. So I hate to say that about them, but that's what liberalism is. Rush, thanks to you, I had a radio program. It was called the Eric Woods program down here in Charlotte on 1110 WBT. Thanks to you I was the last black man to do a radio show there, but it's because of you I can smell liberals from 10 miles away. I know these people. They are messed up mentally, emotionally, because of the fact they have to justify immorality. It's a form of rebellion against God, and so because they're rebelling against God, that's why they have to justify things like evolution, because if man came from slime, then they can say they're not accountable to God. So they have to get rid of God, and when you get rid of God, you elevate abortion, homosexuality, pornography, racism. Black Americans are a little different. They're more race-centered, which is a form of liberalism. They don't care much about abortion. As a matter of fact, they don't like abortion and homosexuality by and large, but the thing is, you can be liberal on one issue and conservative on another issue and that's what's going on with black Americans. But this is what prompted my call, Rush. Charles Rangel, the statements that he made last week, you need to play that every single day for a full month. I would love for you to dedicate a program with just black conservatives calling in to vent and express to black people, "Look, get off of this plantation that the Democrats have formed for us to stay on, to live on." They entrap us through deceit by trying to make Republicans look like Republicans are racist and evil. They have to do that, and so you have the likes of Tavis Smiley, Tom Joiner, BET television, Ebony magazine, Julianne Malvo, you go on down the list, but they have to keep blacks on the plantation by making Republicans seem like they're all racist. Now, Charles Rangel, for him to compare Bush to Bull Conner, a Democrat racist down in the south, it is so twisted and evil, you need to -

RUSH: Hey, you know what? It's not just Bull Conner. George Wallace was a Democrat. Lester Maddox was a Democrat. All of the southern senators that opposed the civil rights act of '64; Jay William Fulbright, they're all Democratic.

CALLER: Well, the good thing about George Wallace was guess what stopped making him a racist? Religion. God. He embraced black people but it was because of God, which is where the liberals are trying to expunge God out of schools and society. They're trying to suppress God and religion. This is why they want to keep church and state as separate as they can, because if they can keep God out of the public square, out of kids' minds, it allows these kids to maintain their immoral lifestyles or to live an immoral lifestyle. But for Charles Rangel to do this, every single day I would love for you to play this, because the media will not play this man's tape or his statement. But what he's done is demonstrating clearly, he's demonstrating in the clearest way why blacks need to leave the Democratic Party, because here's Bush, a man who has elevated not one, but two blacks to the highest level in the cabinet: secretarys of state, and they're calling this man Bull Conner, a racist. Charles Rangel is doing this because he wants blacks to keep on the plantation. I call it the slave/slavemaster/slave liberator mentality. In order for that slavemaster to keep the slave on the plantation, he had to tell them that the north, the people who were coming down to free them. I don't want to get into that too much but they were saying that the liberators were coming down to kill you and to take you away from your kids. You have to deceive black people to keep them on the plantation. There's another word I call it. I call it, "the pimp, the prostitute and the preacher syndrome." That pimp has to keep the prostitute in his harem by lies. If he can do that, if he can keep that prostitute away from the preacher, he's going to favor, because once she starts going around this preacher, she'll stop being a prostitute -- and that pimp is going to lose money. He's going to lose business. He's not going to have his cash cow. The Democrat Party uses blacks as the cash cow to keep them in their harem through deceit.

RUSH: Hey, Eric, can you think of a modern relationship to this? The pimp, the prostitute and the preacher? Can you give us some current names that you might say fit those roles?

CALLER: Well, clearly Jesse Jackson, Tavis Smiley, Tom Joiner, Charles Rangel, all of the democratic delegation up there in Congress, all of them are the pimps. Now, it includes white pimps as well. You of course have had the Ted Kennedys, and you go on down the list of all of those senators but, you know, they're all pimps. Anybody who's in the leadership position in the Democratic Party, they are the pimps because they try to keep blacks deceived.

RUSH: Okay. So, if those are the pimps, who are the prostitutes?

CALLER: Blacks are likened to the prostitutes. It's a tough word to use but I'm not saying that we're prostitutes.

RUSH: No, but I think I know what you mean. They're the victims.

CALLER: The victims of the Democrats.

RUSH: They're the ones that are propping up the pimps financially and with power and with other things.

CALLER: They are the ones -- the black people, we're innocent. The word I preferred to use earlier was, of course, "the slave and the plantation."

RUSH: Okay. So you got the slave and you've got the pimp and the preacher. Let's get rid of prostitute. Okay. So we've got slave, we've got pimp and we've got preacher. Who are the preachers today?

CALLER: The preachers are the Republican Party trying to tell the truth. The people within the Republican Party and independent. By the way, I am an independent, I'm not actually registered as a Republican. You know, I'm independent because of the fact that once you're a black Republican, you're considered Satan and all of that, and it's easier for me to talk as an independent, and instead of me calling myself a Republican, and they immediately raise up a cross trying to look at me as a vampire and all of that, but the point is, the Republican Party, by and large, and those on the religious right, those are the preachers and the liberators trying to tell the truth about what the democratic leadership, the Democrats are doing to black people. It's an amazing thing when you really look at it, but they're all mentally ill. It's a mental sickness. The Bible actually calls them fools because they're rebelling against virtue and God. Now, I'm not calling them fools. I'm just saying the Bible calls them fools. That's what they are.

RUSH: Don't hold back there, Eric. I mean, if the Bible can call them fools, you can echo the Bible.

CALLER: That's right. I'm calling them fools through the Bible, but people will say you can't call someone a fool but they don't understand what the Bible says.

RUSH: Well, who says? You know, that's another thing. Everybody is caught up in who can say what somebody else can and can't say? Screw that. To hell with this political correctness. You say what you want to say on this program. I'm not going to sit here and tell you, "You can't say it." You might be wrong, you might be right, but you can say it. CINDY SHEEHAN IS ARRESTED

Sheehan Arrested During Anti-War Protest

WASHINGTON (AP) - Cindy Sheehan, the California woman who has used her son's death in Iraq to spur the anti-war movement, was arrested Monday while protesting outside the White House.

Sheehan and several dozen other protesters sat down on the sidewalk after marching along the pedestrian walkway on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests.

Sheehan was the first taken into custody. She stood up and was led to a police vehicle while protesters chanted, “The whole world is watching.”

"I would like to say to Cindy Sheehan and her supporters don't be a group of unthinking lemmings. It's not pretty," said Mitzy Kenny of Ridgeley, W.Va., whose husband died in Iraq last year. The anti-war demonstrations "can affect the war in a really negative way. It gives the enemy hope."

TERRORISM

Former President, William Jefferson Clinton, incurred the most terrorist attacks on this country and overseas installations in history. His inaction against these attacks gave comfort to our enemies that the United States did not have the resolve to wage a war on terror. This lack of action led to the September 11th attacks in 2001. Let us rewind and review the terrorist attacks during the Clinton Administration.

1993- World Trade Center, New York City, New York
Six people killed, 1000 injured

1995- Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
168 people killed, including 19 children, 800+ injured

1996- Khobar Towers military barracks, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
19 American soldiers killed, 327 injured

1998- U.S. Embassies, Nairobi, Kenya & Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
213 people killed, including 12 Americans, 4000 injured

2000- U.S.S. Cole, Docked at Aden, Yemen
17 Sailors killed, 39 injured

With the exception of the U.S. Embassy bombings, the only retaliation was to threaten the conspirators with jail. Some conspirators were arrested. After the Embassy bombings, Clinton ordered cruise missile attacks on an aspirin factory in Sudan and at a camel in Afghanistan. I am sure Usama Bin Laden was quivering with fear at Clinton. Yes, the 1993 World Trade Center attack was launched soon after Clinton took the oath of office. However, he did nothing to retaliate.

Why were there so many terrorist attacks? Well, the Clinton administration opted to fight terrorism as a law enforcement activity rather than wage a war on terror. Here is the problem fighting terrorism with law enforcement. When a federal prosecutor gathers enough evidence to indict a terrorist, the case is then bound over to a grand jury. All the evidence in the case is now confidential. Any information obtained in the case cannot be shared with other agencies (CIA, National Security, FBI, or the Department of Defense).

Now we come to Able Danger. Wikipedia-online encyclopedia gives an accurate description of Able Danger:

Able Danger was a small, highly-classified U.S. Army intelligence program under the command of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). It was created as a result of a directive in early October 1999 by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Hugh Shelton, to USASOC to develop a campaign plan against transnational terrorism, "specifically al-Qaida." According to claims made by Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer and confirmed by four others, Able Danger had identified the 9/11 attack leader, Mohamed Atta, and three other 9/11 hijackers as possible members of an al Qaeda cell operating in the United States by mid-2000, more than a year before the attack. The claim appears to contradict the official conclusion of the 9/11 Commission that American intelligence agencies had not identified Atta as a terrorist prior to the attack. This has resulted in a political controversy centered on Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA) who has enthusiastically backed the claims.

Jamie Gorelick was the Deputy Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice during the Clinton administration. She was identified by former Attorney General John Ashcroft as constructing a wall that prevented government agencies from sharing information with each other.

"In 1995, the Justice Department embraced flawed legal reasoning, imposing a series of restrictions on the FBI that went beyond what the law required," he said. "The 1995 Guidelines and the procedures developed around them imposed draconian barriers to communications between the law enforcement and intelligence communities. The wall left intelligence agents afraid to talk with criminal prosecutors or agents. In 1995, the Justice Department designed a system destined to fail."

"Somebody built this wall.” Ashcroft added: "The basic architecture for the wall . . . was contained in a classified memorandum entitled 'Instructions on Separation of Certain Foreign Counterintelligence and Criminal Investigations. Full disclosure compels me to inform you that its author is a member of this Commission."

Gorelick also made the decision to not investigate 9/11 attack ringleader Mohamed Atta. Gorelick believed that since Atta had a green card, he was a U.S. citizen. Last I knew, a green card was not the same as citizenship, it is simply a visitor pass.

In 1995, Gorelick wrote:

“During the course of those investigations, significant counterintelligence information has been developed related to the activities and plans of agents of foreign powers operating in this country and overseas, including previously unknown connections between separate terrorist groups." We believe that it is prudent to establish a set of instructions that will clearly separate the counterintelligence investigation from the more limited, but continued, criminal investigations. These procedures, which go beyond what is legally required, will prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation."

Ms. Gorelick was also appointed by Democrat Senator Tom Daschle to sit on the 9/11 commission panel. There is no doubt this was a significant conflict of interest.

During the 9/11 commission hearings, Clinton’s former National Security advisor, Sandy Berger was accused of stealing highly classified terrorism documents from the national archives. What was he stealing? The Able Danger papers along with other sensitive information. Clinton was determined not to let terrorism hinder him from being a legend in his own mind.

Clinton did everything he could to avoid using our military to defend this country. He was in constant contact with advisor Dick Morris. After every attack, Dick Morris would have to poll the public in order for Clinton to make a decision. Instead of working the Pentagon in designing a war plan against terrorism, Clinton was worried how people felt about him. Of course, that is the Clinton legacy, “It’s all about me.”

Now let us fast forward. Recently, Mr. Clinton publicly criticized President Bush about many things, including the war in Iraq. This is where the discussion will begin.

This is probably the first you have heard of the banging of the war drums by these democrats.

There is also some reluctance to believe that Iraq had ties to terrorism. These people are wrong. Iraq did have ties to terrorism. Saddam Hussein paid the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. The Washington Times reported the Clinton administration linked al-Qaeda and Iraq.

The 1998 indictment said: "Al Qaeda also forged alliances with the National Islamic Front in the Sudan and with the government of Iran and its associated terrorist group Hezbollah for the purpose of working together against their perceived common enemies in the West, particularly the United States. In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the government of Iraq."

From the Washington Institute of Near East Policy:

In August 2001, leaders of several Kurdish Islamist factions reportedly visited the al-Qaeda leadership in Afghanistan with the goal of creating an alternate base for the organization in northern Iraq. Their intentions were echoed in a document found in an al-Qaeda guest house in Afghanistan vowing to "expel those Jews and Christians from Kurdistan and join the way of Jihad, [and] rule every piece of land . . . with the Islamic Shari'a rule." Soon thereafter, Ansar al-Islam was created using $300,000 to $600,000 in al-Qaeda seed money, in addition to funds from Saudi Arabia.

In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001.

It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security.

Finally, government reports and congressional testimony to news accounts from major newspapers.

*Abdul Rahman Yasin was the only member of the al Qaeda cell that detonated the 1993 World Trade Center bomb to remain at large in the Clinton years. He fled to Iraq. U.S. forces recently discovered a cache of documents in Tikrit, Saddam's hometown, that show that Iraq gave Mr. Yasin both a house and monthly salary.

* Bin Laden met at least eight times with officers of Iraq's Special Security Organization, a secret police agency run by Saddam's son Qusay, and met with officials from Saddam's mukhabarat, its external intelligence service, according to intelligence made public by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who was speaking before the United Nations Security Council on February 6, 2003.

* Sudanese intelligence officials told me that their agents had observed meetings between Iraqi intelligence agents and bin Laden starting in 1994, when bin Laden lived in Khartoum.

* Bin Laden met the director of the Iraqi mukhabarat in 1996 in Khartoum, according to Mr. Powell.

* An al Qaeda operative now held by the U.S. confessed that in the mid-1990s, bin Laden had forged an agreement with Saddam's men to cease all terrorist activities against the Iraqi dictator, Mr. Powell told the United Nations.

* In 1999 the Guardian, a British newspaper, reported that Farouk Hijazi, a senior officer in Iraq's mukhabarat, had journeyed deep into the icy mountains near Kandahar, Afghanistan, in December 1998 to meet with al Qaeda men. Mr. Hijazi is "thought to have offered bin Laden asylum in Iraq," the Guardian reported.

* In October 2000, another Iraqi intelligence operative, Salah Suleiman, was arrested near the Afghan border by Pakistani authorities, according to Jane's Foreign Report, a respected international newsletter. Jane's reported that Suleiman was shuttling between Iraqi intelligence and Ayman al Zawahiri, now al Qaeda's No. 2 man.

* As recently as 2001, Iraq's embassy in Pakistan was used as a "liaison" between the Iraqi dictator and al Qaeda, Mr. Powell told the United Nations.

* Spanish investigators have uncovered documents seized from Yusuf Galan -- who is charged by a Spanish court with being "directly involved with the preparation and planning" of the Sept. 11 attacks -- that show the terrorist was invited to a party at the Iraqi embassy in Madrid. The invitation used his "al Qaeda nom de guerre," London's Independent reports.

* An Iraqi defector to Turkey, known by his cover name as "Abu Mohammed," told Gwynne Roberts of the Sunday Times of London that he saw bin Laden's fighters in camps in Iraq in 1997. At the time, Mohammed was a colonel in Saddam's Fedayeen. He described an encounter at Salman Pak, the training facility southeast of Baghdad. At that vast compound run by Iraqi intelligence, Muslim militants trained to hijack planes with knives -- on a full-size Boeing 707. Col. Mohammed recalls his first visit to Salman Pak this way: "We were met by Colonel Jamil Kamil, the camp manager, and Major Ali Hawas. I noticed that a lot of people were queuing for food. (The major) said to me: 'You'll have nothing to do with these people. They are Osama bin Laden's group and the PKK and Mojahedin-e Khalq.'"

* In 1998, Abbas al-Janabi, a longtime aide to Saddam's son Uday, defected to the West. At the time, he repeatedly told reporters that there was a direct connection between Iraq and al Qaeda.

*The Sunday Times found a Saddam loyalist in a Kurdish prison who claims to have been Dr. Zawahiri's bodyguard during his 1992 visit with Saddam in Baghdad. Dr. Zawahiri was a close associate of bin Laden at the time and was present at the founding of al Qaeda in 1989.

* Following the defeat of the Taliban, almost two dozen bin Laden associates "converged on Baghdad and established a base of operations there," Mr. Powell told the United Nations in February 2003. From their Baghdad base, the secretary said, they supervised the movement of men, materiel and money for al Qaeda's global network.

* In 2001, an al Qaeda member "bragged that the situation in Iraq was 'good,'" according to intelligence made public by Mr. Powell.

* That same year, Saudi Arabian border guards arrested two al Qaeda members entering the kingdom from Iraq.

* Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi oversaw an al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan, Mr. Powell told the United Nations. His specialty was poisons. Wounded in fighting with U.S. forces, he sought medical treatment in Baghdad in May 2002. When Zarqawi recovered, he restarted a training camp in northern Iraq. Zarqawi's Iraq cell was later tied to the October 2002 murder of Lawrence Foley, an official of the U.S. Agency for International Development, in Amman, Jordan. The captured assassin confessed that he received orders and funds from Zarqawi's cell in Iraq, Mr. Powell said. His accomplice escaped to Iraq.

*Zarqawi met with military chief of al Qaeda, Mohammed Ibrahim Makwai (aka Saif al-Adel) in Iran in February 2003, according to intelligence sources cited by the Washington Post.

* Mohammad Atef, the head of al Qaeda's military wing until the U.S. killed him in Afghanistan in November 2001, told a senior al Qaeda member now in U.S. custody that the terror network needed labs outside of Afghanistan to manufacture chemical weapons, Mr. Powell said. "Where did they go, where did they look?" said the secretary. "They went to Iraq."

* Abu Abdullah al-Iraqi was sent to Iraq by bin Laden to purchase poison gases several times between 1997 and 2000. He called his relationship with Saddam's regime "successful," Mr. Powell told the United Nations.

* Mohamed Mansour Shahab, a smuggler hired by Iraq to transport weapons to bin Laden in Afghanistan, was arrested by anti-Hussein Kurdish forces in May, 2000. He later told his story to American intelligence and a reporter for the New Yorker magazine.

* Documents found among the debris of the Iraqi Intelligence Center show that Baghdad funded the Allied Democratic Forces, a Ugandan terror group led by an Islamist cleric linked to bin Laden. According to a London's Daily Telegraph, the organization offered to recruit "youth to train for the jihad" at a "headquarters for international holy warrior network" to be established in Baghdad.

* Mullah Melan Krekar, ran a terror group (the Ansar al-Islam) linked to both bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Mr. Krekar admitted to a Kurdish newspaper that he met bin Laden in Afghanistan and other senior al Qaeda officials. His acknowledged meetings with bin Laden go back to 1988. When he organized Ansar al Islam in 2001 to conduct suicide attacks on Americans, "three bin Laden operatives showed up with a gift of $300,000 'to undertake jihad,'" Newsday reported. Mr. Krekar is now in custody in the Netherlands. His group operated in portion of northern Iraq loyal to Saddam Hussein -- and attacked independent Kurdish groups hostile to Saddam. A spokesman for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan told a United Press International correspondent that Mr. Krekar's group was funded by "Saddam Hussein's regime in Baghdad."

* After October 2001, hundreds of al Qaeda fighters are believed to have holed up in the Ansar al-Islam's strongholds inside northern Iraq.

I hope that after reading all the above, you will have a new mindset regarding the failures of former president Bill Clinton and the democrats, and an understanding of the complexities and work involved in waging a war on terror.

FORMER PRESIDENT BILLY JEFF CLINTON

I was perfectly content in letting Mr. Clinton fade away in the past and not mention how ineffective he was during his presidency. But Mr. Clinton decided he wasn't ready to disappear without a fight so he publicly criticizes our current president, George W. Bush. Needless to say this didn't sit well with me. It has been requested of me to list Clinton's failures during his presidency.

In the upcoming days, and probably weeks, I will be writing a series about Mr. Clinton. I have no idea how long the total "essay" will be, but it will be factual. I was hesitant about writing this, not because there is nothing to write about, but because it will be extremely lengthily and never end. An example of how it will never end is "Able Danger" which was made public a few weeks ago (5 years after Clinton left office). Thus it will be the first in my series since the information will be readily available.

In my previous post THE FAILURES OF LOUISIANA OFFICIALS, I discussed how the governor and mayor were incompetent morons. Each day since Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, more information is coming out supporting my view. We have people running around with the "Blame Bush" mentality who find it easier to “Blame Bush” than to actually understand the complexity of issues or spend a few minutes researching a particular topic.

Some people are yelling about “why wasn’t federal assistance and troops sent in the first day?” Well, it is because the federal government are not first responders, local and state authorities are. However, FEMA was outside the city, they could not go in because the primates were running around shooting each other and preventing any outside assistance. The American Red Cross and The Salvation Army were first responders with water, food, and other supplies, but the governor would not let them distribute at the Superdome. She wanted the people to leave the Superdome, and offering aid would only bring more people to the Superdome. Yes, she wanted them to leave, but they would not leave, so she thought if she starved them, then they would leave. How wonderfully compassionate of these democrats. Jason van Steenwyk is a Florida Army National Guardsman who has been mobilized six times for hurricane relief. He said the following:

"The federal government pretty much met its standard time lines, but the volume of support provided during the 72-96 hour was unprecedented. The federal response here was faster than Hugo, faster than Andrew, faster than Iniki, faster than Francine and Jeanne."

The more complex complaints that have come up are about the reduction in federal funding for levee improvements in New Orleans. I have found some very interesting articles regarding this federal funding.

The first article is from the L.A. Times

Senior officials in Louisiana's emergency planning agency already were awaiting trial over allegations stemming from a federal investigation into waste, mismanagement and missing funds when Hurricane Katrina struck.

And federal auditors are still trying to track as much as $60 million in unaccounted for funds that were funneled to the state from the Federal Emergency Management Agency dating back to 1998.
In March, FEMA demanded that Louisiana repay $30.4 million to the federal government.

The problems are particularly worrisome, federal officials said, because they involve the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the agency that will administer much of the billions in federal aid anticipated for victims of Katrina.

Earlier this week, federal Homeland Security officials announced they would send 30 investigators and auditors to the Gulf Coast to ensure relief funds were properly spent.

As far back as eight years ago, Congress ordered the Federal Emergency Management Agency to develop a plan for evacuating New Orleans during a massive hurricane, but the money instead went to studying the causeway bridge that spans the city's Lake Pontchartrain, officials say.

The outcome provides one more example of the government's failure to prepare for a massive but foreseeable catastrophe, said the lawmaker who helped secure the money for FEMA to develop the evacuation plan.

"They never used it for the intended purpose," said former Rep. Billy Tauzin, R-La. "The whole intent was to give them resources so they could plan an evacuation of New Orleans that anticipated that a very large number of people would never leave."

In Hurricane Katrina's aftermath, attention has focused on the inability of local and federal officials to evacuate or prepare for the large number of poor people, many of them minorities, who had no access to transportation and remained behind.

That possibility was one of the concerns that led Congress in 1997 to set aside $500,000 for FEMA to create "a comprehensive analysis and plan of all evacuation alternatives for the New Orleans metropolitan area."

Frustrated two years later that nothing materialized, Congress strengthened its directive. This time it ordered "an evacuation plan for a Category 3 or greater storm, a levee break, flood or other natural disaster for the New Orleans area."

The $500,000 that Congress appropriated for the evacuation plan went to a commission that studied future options for the 24-mile bridge over Lake Pontchartrain, FEMA spokesman Butch Kinerney said.

It is so hard to believe that these compassionate, progressive democrats (the same “looking out for the little guy” and “caring about minorities” democrats) would allow such a thing to happen. Then again, what should be expected from a state that has had the most corrupt government for the past ten years?

Well, they have started to release death tolls from Hurrican Katrina. The last time I checked it was 267. This is well short of the 10,000 Mayor Ray "Ragin'" Nagin was running around screaming. Now comes the interesting part. How long will take for someone to say Pres. Bush is hiding dead black people so it doesn't make him look bad? I'm guessing by Friday. The first will pop up on the always entertaining democraticunderground.com & dailykos.com. I'm optimistic that these left-wing lunatics will not let me down. In fact, I should head over now and see if they've beaten me to my prediction.

The memorial for Flight 93 (the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11) has been approved. What I cannot understand is how these idiots could design a memorial for a plane that was hijacked by Islamic terrorists with an Islamic red crescent!

Now we come to the International Freedom Center. This is supposed to be the memorial for the World Trade Center. Why it is called the International Freedom Center is beyond me. One would think some pea-brained person would say, “Why don’t we call it the WTC memorial?” However, the commission that was involved in the planning was completely brain-dead. That is the only excuse I can come up with.

"If you're going to explore slavery, the Holocaust or women's rights, you should do it at Chelsea Piers or on the East River waterfront - anywhere but Ground Zero," said Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles, 51, was the pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon.

"After all, it was not slavery that caused the terrorists to attack us," said Burlingame, who has led the fight to bar the IFC.

Basically, the plan is appeasement. These crazy people in Muslim countries are blaming the U.S. for human rights violations. They refuse to believe that their religion and government are responsible for their suffering. Many people are fighting the idea of constructing another building where the WTC buildings once stood. Why, because most of the plans include constructing the tallest building in the world. That would show our dominance of the world and make lunatics sad and angry with us.

Architect offers to alter Flight 93 memorial to appease critics

WASHINGTON - The architect of the memorial to a plane downed in western Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001, said Wednesday he would work to satisfy critics who complained that it honors terrorists with its crescent-shaped design.

Designer Paul Murdoch said he is "somewhat optimistic" that the spirit of the design could be maintained.

"It's a disappointment there is a misinterpretation and a simplistic distortion of this, but if that is a public concern, then that is something we will look to resolve in a way that keeps the essential qualities," Murdoch, 48, of Los Angeles, said in a telephone interview.

The problem I was having while writing this, was not finding the faults, but where to begin. Before you start reading too much, I would like to mention that I still stand behind my earlier statement that the citizens should have taken on some personal responsibility and walked or rode bikes out of the city. This is mostly intended for those who believe that gov’t should coddle them from cradle to grave.

The governor of Louisiana and the mayor of New Orleans have failed the citizens in ways not thought possible. The level of irresponsibility began when Pres. Bush had to call the Gov. and the mayor and tell them to issue a mandatory evacuation. How stupid are these people? They didn't know a Cat 5 storm was bearing down on them? Do they not watch the weather channel? I question their ability to live without a caretaker.

Many people want to blame Bush for the problems in New Orleans. They ask, “Where is the National Guard?” These people should be asking the Governor, “You are commander-in-chief of the state National Guard, why didn’t you have them ready?” They could also ask the Governor, “You have agreements with other states, why didn’t you ask them to send in their troops?” If the governor had organized National Guard troops, the federal gov’t would not need to be involved. There was no need for Pres. Bush to have organized them. What is happening now in New Orleans (airlifts, rescues, controlling looting) could have been done if the governor would have done her job.

Then you have Mayor Ray Nagin. This guy has completely unraveled. He is about as far away from being Rudy Giuliani-ish as you can get. He is running around screaming that the sky is falling. He and the city council of N.O. have also failed the city. Instead of spending money to keep the city safe by making necessary repairs/improvements in the levees, they were spending tax money on gambling institutions, investments with their friends, and a private jet.

Mr. Nagin could have helped many of his citizens by following the Louisiana disaster plan.

'The primary means of hurricane evacuation will be personal vehicles. School and municipal buses, government-owned vehicles and vehicles provided by volunteer agencies may be used to provide transportation for individuals who lack transportation and require assistance in evacuating'...

Had Mr. Nagin followed this disaster plan, many of the citizens of N.O. could have been saved. I doubt Mr. Nagin even attempted to use any gov’t owned vehicles. Judging from the number of buses in the picture below, he was not aware of a disaster plan.

As you can see, the many buses there could have saved many lives.

Many news outlets are failing to report that FEMA was near New Orleans when the hurricane made landfall. FEMA pulled out of New Orleans when the primates began looting and rioting. Had the Gov. used her given power, the National Guard would have been in there to control the looting. With the looting controlled, there would have been a very good chance FEMA would have stayed in New Orleans.

The failures of these gov’t officials accumulate daily.

I am sure many of you have seen the lawlessness that is occurring in New Orleans. These people are abhorrent. The reason I say these people are primates (all apologies to chimps) is because that is the first thing that comes to mind when I see them. If you have ever watched a nature show with primates, you see how they act when something excites them. They jump around, make all kinds of noises, & act uncivil (in a monkey way). This same thing is happening in New Orleans. I am sure it is also happening in Alabama and Mississippi also. Just not of the same degree as in New Orleans.

People on the left will continue to excuse the behavior of these primates because "they need to survive". Well, you do not need DVD players, TV's, Jewelry, and new Nike’s to survive. The sad part is the police cannot arrest them. The jails are now under water. I think these looters need to be shot on sight. They had plenty of time to evacuate. They were issued numerous warnings that the city would flood. Do not cry about “they didn’t have anywhere to go” or “they were poor”, they could have walked or rode a bike out of the city. They stayed there and still do not have any place to go. At least if they left they would still be homeless, but they would be dry.

There are reports that some of these primates are running around with AK-47's. Someone was also shooting at a military helicopter that was being used to rescue people.

I wanted to start a new topic this week (Able Danger). However, Ms. Sheehan has once again struck a nerve with me. Until today, I did not know that Ms. Sheehan had an online diary. I am sure I could have received some good material from her entries.

I find it disgusting that Ms. Sheehan has overshadowed the heroic actions of her son; Army Spc. Casey Sheehan. Just in case you do not know the story of his death, I will fill you in. First off, Spc. Sheehan was basically a humvee mechanic. Secondly, he REENLISTED in the Army DURING the war knowing there was a chance he would go to Iraq. The most important part was his heroic actions. Spc. Sheehan volunteered to go into combat to aid troops that were outnumbered. He could have just ignored the request for volunteers and kept banging his wrench on the engine. However, he did not; he came to the aid of his fellow soldiers. He knew he was going into combat and he knew there was a risk he could be injured or killed, but he did it anyway.

Ms. Sheehan has once again fulfilled her duty as the circus monkey for the lunatic left. Her diary entry for today is ridiculous.Ms. Sheehan starts her entry off with a quote from our great president, George W. Bush.

"If Zarqawi and bin Laden gain control of Iraq, they would create a new training ground for future terrorist attacks," Bush said. "They'd seize oil fields to fund their ambitions. They could recruit more terrorists by claiming a historic victory over the United States and our coalition."(George Bush, August 30, 2005 in San Diego.)

I did not see or hear this quote, but I guarantee it was taken out of context. I am sure a statement about what could happen in Iraq should the United States pull out troops too soon preceded it.

“So it is official, Casey had his blood shed in Iraq for OIL. He died so we could pay over 3.00/gallon for gas. Like I suspected all along, my dear, sweet son: almost 1900 others; and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis died so the oil fields wouldn't "fall into the hands of terrorists" and so George and his immoral band of greedy robber barons could become wealthier. Like I have said all along: how can these people sleep at night and how can they choke down their food knowing it is purchased off of the flesh and blood of others? We have found our "Noble Cause." And it is OIL. This man and his handlers need to be stopped.”

Ms. Sheehan was not listening again. Her heroic son, Casey, had his blood shed in Iraq to defeat terrorism and those that support terrorism. Zarqawi is a terrorist; he fought in Afghanistan and has ties to Bin Laden. Saddam paid the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

There are many reasons why gas is over $3.00/gallon, Iraq is not one of them. Ms. Sheehan apparently does not understand supply and demand. China and India have an increased demand for oil. The OPEC countries have a quota of how many barrels of oil can be pumped. Therefore, they have a limited supply. This increases the price of oil. Another reason is that several states have different EPA guidelines for gasoline. The oil companies have to produce several types of gasoline instead of just one. When you are able to mass produce one type of product, with one type of raw material, you are able to sell it at a lower price. You also have the fact that democrats restrict the construction of new, efficient refineries and domestic drilling for oil. Hurricane Katrina has also caused the price to increase. Production was halted on the offshore oilrigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Many refineries were damaged, and if they were not damaged, there is no electricity to run the refinery. If the refineries are not functioning, all the oil in the world is not going to make a difference if you cannot turn it in to gasoline.

“Handlers”, Ms. Sheehan? Maybe you did not notice the arm of the lunatic left up the back of your shirt. You are a ventriloquist dummy. You say what they want you to say. I have questioned your ability to think for yourself.

“Well, George and I are leaving Crawford today. George is finished playing golf and telling his fables in San Diego , so he will be heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused. Recovery would be easier and much quicker if almost ½ of the three states involved National Guard were not in Iraq. All of the National Guard's equipment is in Iraq also. Plus, with the 2 billion dollars a week that the private contractors are siphoning from our treasury, how are we going to pay for helping our own citizens in Louisiana , Mississippi, and Alabama? And, should I dare say "global warming?" and be branded as a "conspiracy theorist" on top of everything else the reich-wingers say about me.”

Hmmm, all the news networks and weather channels must be wrong. They repeatedly said it was a HURRICANE that caused the devastation in Louisiana, Alabama, & Mississippi. In Ms. Sheehan’s mind, she is right, so I guess everyone else was wrong. The meteorologists from The Weather Channel, National Weather Service, & Accuweather.com must be wrong too. They have repeatedly said that the increase in hurricanes is NOT because of the so-called “global warming”. They said it is because the hurricane cycle has changed and is similar to the hurricane cycle of the 1950’s.

The Lord took six days to create the world, so I guess it is feasible that New Orleans will not be rebuilt in the TWO days since the hurricane. After all of Ms. Sheehan’s vile comments about our president, she is trying to equate Pres. Bush with God. I like Pres. Bush, but I would not put him on the same level as God.

No, Ms. Sheehan, you are not a “conspiracy theorist”, you are a circus monkey.
